Can we trust all these victorians that are turning up in droves to do the right thing in quarantine? 🧐

✈ South Australia is assisting with the repatriation of Australians returning home.

Managing these flight arrivals is a very organised and controlled process, supported by multiple government agencies.

All arrivals are treated as potentially having COVID-19.

β–ͺ Everyone involved in the process wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
β–ͺ β€˜Hot zones’ are established within the airport to protect staff and other passengers.
β–ͺ When the flight arrives, passengers are greeted by border nurses.
β–ͺ They are asked to use hand sanitiser and put on a new face mask.
β–ͺ They have their temperature taken and a welfare check.
β–ͺ Then they go through the usual re-entry process such as customs, immigration and biosecurity.
β–ͺ People collect their own luggage and are escorted to a bus, which will take them to their hotel quarantine.
β–ͺ When they arrive at the hotel they check-in and are provided with further information about quarantine requirements.
β–ͺ They are then escorted to their room where they will stay for 14 days.
β–ͺ All people are tested for coronavirus when they arrive at the hotel and before leaving quarantine.
β–ͺ They also have daily welfare checks and will be tested if they become unwell.

We are taking every precaution to manage this process to ensure South Australians are safe and the virus does not enter our community.

Excellent. And please ensure correct training and ethical boundaries between those in quarantine and the staff. This is a Health model that requires health level ethics and knowledgeable behaviour.

States should be taking the same proportion of overseas travellers as pre virus are they going to share these passengers when the virus is gone and it is a good money maker.

SA Health can the next steps also be explained e.g. What happens with guests during their stay. Eg. Are families kept together in the same room, are they guaranteed fresh air or exercise, how is food provided etc. I have heard some horror stories from other states.....

SA health is doing a fantastic job in helping returning Australians and protecting the community

Thank you SA health. Keep up the great work and stay safe.

As long as they are from south Australia. If not send them to their respective states and keep them out of SA

Why aren’t they tested before getting on the plane ☝️

Great job!

Is the test mandatory or can they refuse it?

Thanks SA Health. You have been doing a wonderful job of the quarantine process.

What about all the people rushing home from Vic shouldn't they be treated the same way right now.

Well done guys keep up the good work πŸ˜‰

Is there any cases in sa there hasent yet been a update

Good to know thisπŸ‘†πŸ» ..every ones help and understanding is much appreciated πŸ‘πŸ»

Is there a list of the hotels being used for the quarantine period?

Good to know the process.

Great job SA Health πŸ‘

What if they refuse testing?

They said and announcement would be made regarding border restrictions with NSW and ACT. Is it still opening July 20?

I think we should close the border with Queensland-too many Victorians would have gone there before the closures. Don’t wait until the first case.

I think the border should have been closed much earlier. I hope it’s not too late to prevent community transmission in South Australia from Victoria.

For years ive been trying to find a way to keep victorians away... Try no longer!

Will the definition of an essential traveller change? How will cross border residents be affected from tomorrow? Are we still allowed to cross for necessary purposes as we previously have or not?

What about WA? I need to travel there in August for compassionate reasons

What about essential workers from SA who are crossing into Vic for earl and then back again? Do we have quarantine every time we cross back?

My mum is currently in hospital, if things went bad would I be able to get an exception to see her in country Victoria?

Daniel said why would you want to go to South Australia .??????. Well Daniel Andrews South Australia has no out of control corona virus cases like Victoria . Maybe you should shut your mouth and learn from the rest of Australia

My husband flew back and returned for work on Sunday 😞 we don’t think he’ll qualify for ‘essential’ unfortunately so means having to be hopeful his application to come home again in August would be accepted. Where would he find said Application to apply ?

What about truck drivers they have self iso if thwy r doing Adelaide Sydney run and bak but go just through boarder of Vic how does that work

You forget about those who can’t self isolate because of complex food allergies and intolerances that can’t be met by online ordering and delivery. Safe food is a basic human right. I’m an SA displaced and can’t come home because I can’t self isolate yet ignored by the authorities because I’m obviously in the toilet hard’ basket 😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑

South Australian's should already be back here... there is no reason for travel, under the circumstances. One would think.

What happens if you have already applied for a pre approval, July 1st, but have heard nothing back and need to travel back after the border closes tonight??

My husband is a cancer patient. He has already missed a checkup we r due back on 22 nd and 23 rd July for a check. Will b travelling through Vic to get to Border but live in NSW.Will b staying one nite in Adelaide. Will we b able to cross border without going into quaterine

My sister and her husband are from Victoria but have been on holiday in NSW for the past 3 weeks. They want to come to Adelaide when the borders open via Broken Hill. How can they prove they have not been in Victoria for over 3 weeks.

Be very careful at showing so much joy why others are suffering. We are 20 ks over the border (288 ks from Adelaide) 700 ks from Melbourne. All along the border towns have always used S.A for shopping , holidays , medical, sport. Do not rejoice at our isolation,we do not use Melbourne or its suburbs we use Murray Bridge , Riverland or Adelaide. We don’t want to go East everything we do is West.As a small community on the edge we rely on S.A So before you start attacking us as a whole “just stop and think”.We didn’t want this no one did.

Does anyone know if there have been updates with the borders opening up from SA to NSW?

If only there was a hard border between the infected and the public....

If only there was a hard border between those who do the right thing and those that feel invincible 🀦‍♂️

I’ve heard multiple comments that there are people sneaking across the border using back roads! (Eg a Couple in a caravan at Quorn) What are you doing about that?

I am susposed to fly to Melbourne via Sydney to collect my Grandaughter from Melbourne airport this Friday 10th July to bring her home to SA we have to stay the night in Melbourne as she is coming from the Gold Coast and there are no direct flights to Adelaide hence why we have to stay the night . We have to self quarantine for 14 days once we get home but are the boarders closed to anyone that flys in from Melbourne if they are a SA resident .

Does that include border pass i have a family member who lives closes to ur border and goes to ur border town vet would that be allow?

Hi SA Health - how can I find out the restrictions for NSW to cross border to SA as from today?

What is considered an SA resident? I own a house in SA but moved to Melbourne for work and live alone with no family in Melb. My licence is VIC. At I able to return home to be with my family. Otherwise I will be 6 weeks in my apartment alone.

My suggestion is to keep all borders closed apart from NT and WA. I worry about a second wave in NSW and QLD Given that so many Victorians continued to travel. There is plenty to see And do in SA if your are looking For a holiday.

Just a very small question how many days do we have to be community transmission coronavirus free before you leave all internal restrictions how many days how many months with how long is this long haul give some desperate business owners some clarity how long is this covered normal going to be cos it's not normal

Congratulations SA! Now tell your friends and families in Victoria to stay away and you won’t be visiting for at least six weeks! Travel is what will cause further spread...Please everybody just respect the hard borders now!

Thank you lord for keeping us safe πŸ™

Is this person not thinking about her children , and other people she might bring back covid 19 to SA we have been free and feeling good , so please tell her to think about her family and others.

Thank you for all the people in SA who did the right thing!

Someone I know has told me she is planning on taking a trip to Melbourne with her children to visit family even after hearing Melbourne is going to be locked down. Are there any measures in place to prevent someone this irresponsible from returning after her week or so holiday? If she has to isolate her partner will still be at their house and won’t be isolating therefore will be out in the community as well as at Home with her and the kids. Any advice SA Health?

I’m trying to get home to Adelaide from Manchester UK, can you please tell me what airlines are flying into Adelaide.

Keep safe Adelaide

Does the quarantine apply if I am flying through sydney?

So good! Keep it up South Australia...

The one time I've thankful that I live in SA lol

0 has a nice ring to it compared to 191

Woo hoo S..A. πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚

Well done SA ❀

Keep testing SA.

Tash Millard no cases in SA you must be thinking of the port fairy story.

New Zealand lifted all restrictions 4 weeks ago and have had no new community acquired cases. Why haven't we done the same! It is a joke and we have destroyed the economy for nothing.

SA Health πŸ‘πŸΌ

Good on you SA

Yet only 1,000 fans are allowed into SANFL games at suburban grounds from this weekend? Stupid!!!

and we are rewarded with nightclubs being closed again?..pathetic

Thank you Sa

Is the boarder between NSW and SA opening on July 20th?

I'm not sure but I think they are stopping anyone from crossing the boarder
