Advocate – The Public Advocate is the Guardian of Last Resort and provides systemic and some individual advocacy to people with impaired mental capacity and their carers. The Office of the Public Advocate has a Dispute Resolution Service which offers a mediation service to assist in the resolution of disputes about Advance Care Directives and health consent issues.
