The SKILL Barossa Peer Network began in 2022 for people living with disability and their supporters to share experiences and support each other and meets monthly. The SKILL Connectors, Alice Hyde and Natalie Mudge, facilitate the network meetings and they are held in a number of locations, including Angaston, Nuriootpa and Tanunda.
The SKILL Workshops are run in Nuriootpa with direct help for individuals from the SKILL Connectors to work through 6 modules that build skills for people living with disability. The modules include Build your vision, Make your Plan, Manage your supports, Safeguard your success, Feeling at home and Connect to your community.
SKILL stands for Strengthening Knowledge, Ideas, Links and Leadership.
